Are you a fan of Baked Beans? Then you must try it with tempeh!
Ingredients
Boston Baked Tempeh
- 8oz. Tootie’s Tempeh, crumbled
- 1/2 medium onion, diced
- 1T blackstrap molasses
- 1T brown sugar
- 1T maple syrup
- 1/2T worcestershire sauce
- 1t dry mustard
- 1/2t onion powder
- 1/2t garlic powder
- 1t hot smoked paprika
- 1/2t salt
- 1/2t pepper
- 1T tomato paste
- 1/2t liquid smoke
- 1/4c water
Instructions
- In a small sauce pan, sauté onion in a little avocado oil until tender and slightly browned.
- Add all other ingredients except tempeh to pan, stir well. Bring to a simmer, stir.
- Add tempeh, stir well to combine. Simmer for 15 minutes or until thickened and bubbly.
- Serve with brown bread or sourdough bread and coleslaw.
